Wika Contact Pressure Gauges

Contact pressure gauges are used whenever it is necessary to locally indicate the process pressure while also keeping an eye on the limit values. Depending on the position of the indicating measuring instrument's pointer, the switch contacts open or close circuits. The phrase "alarm contact" comes from the fact that the readings can set off an alarm if they are significantly over or below a predetermined value. Contact pressure gauges can be used to initiate, terminate, or switch processes.

Description

Wherever the process pressure has to be indicated locally and, at the same time, circuits need to be switched, the model PGS23.1x0 switchGAUGE finds its use. Switch contacts (electrical switch contacts) make or break an electric control circuit dependent upon the pointer position of the indicating measuring instrument. The switch contacts are adjustable over the full extent of the scale range (see DIN 16085), and are mounted predominantly below the dial, though also partly on top of the dial. The instrument pointer (actual value pointer) moves freely across the entire scale range, independent of the setting.
The set pointer can be adjusted using a removable adjustment key in the window.

Switch contacts consisting of several contacts can also be set to a single set point. Contact actuation is made when the actual value pointer travels beyond or below the desired set point. The pressure gauge is manufactured in accordance with DIN 16085 and fulfils all requirements of the relevant standards (EN 837-1) and regulations for the on-site display of the working pressure of pressure vessels. As switch contacts, magnetic snap-action contacts, reed switches, inductive contacts and electronic contacts are available. Inductive contacts can be used in hazardous areas. For triggering programmable logic controllers (PLC), electronic contacts and reed switches can be used.

Description

Wherever the process pressure has to be indicated locally and, at the same time, circuits need to be switched, the model 532.5x switchGAUGE finds its use. Switch contacts (electrical alarm contacts) make or break circuits dependent upon the pointer position of the indicating measuring instruments. The switch contacts are adjustable over the full extent of the scale range (see DIN 16085), and are mounted predominantly below the dial, though also partly on top of the dial. The pressure gauge is manufactured in accordance with DIN 16085 and fulfils all requirements of the relevant standards (EN 837-3) and regulations for the on-site display of the working pressure of pressure vessels.
As switch contacts, magnetic snap-action contacts, reed switches, inductive contacts and electronic contacts are available. Inductive contacts can be used in hazardous areas.

Description

The differential pressure gauges of the DELTA-line product family are primarily used for the monitoring and control of low differential pressures where there are high requirements in terms of one-sided overload and static pressure.
Typical markets for the model DPGS40TA are the shipbuilding industry, process heating technology, the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning industries, the water/wastewater industry, and machine building and plant construction.

Wherever a differential pressure has to be indicated locally and, at the same time, circuits need to be switched safely dependent on a defined differential pressure, the DELTA-comb finds its use.
The differential pressure remains readable on the mechanical display, even if the voltage supply is lost.

The switch point is accessible from the front and can be set in the range of 10 ... 100 % of the end value of the measuring range by means of an assistant scale.
As a result of the low measuring range of 0 … 250 mbar, the instrument can also be used for applications with low differential pressures.

The measuring chamber, depending on the requirement and application, can be made from aluminium or stainless steel. Through the increased stability, the stainless steel measuring chamber is also suitable for gaseous media.
The special feature of the DELTA-comb with component testing is shown by the variety of approvals and certificates. These ensure the suitability for operation in the respective application.

Applications

Monitoring and control of filters, compressors and pumps for:

  • Boilers and pressure vessels
  • Drinking and cooling-water treatment plants
  • Pressure-boosting and pumping stations
  • Heating technology
  • Fire-extinguishing systems

Special features

  • With one or two adjustable micro switches
  • Shatterproof window and robust aluminium or stainless steel measuring chamber for increased requirements
  • Optionally with approvals for hazardous areas
  • High ingress protection, IP65, for outdoor use and processes with high condensation
  • Low measuring range from 0 ... 250 mbar

Description

The differential pressure gauges of the DELTA-line product family are primarily used for the monitoring and control of low differential pressures where there are high requirements in terms of one-sided overload and static pressure.
Typical markets for these products are the process heating technology, the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning industries, the water/wastewater industry, and machine building and plant construction. For these, the main function of the measuring instruments is the monitoring and control of filters, compressors and pumps.

Wherever circuits need to be switched safely dependent on a defined differential pressure, the DELTA-switch finds its use. As the pressure passes above or below a defined set point, the switching operation is triggered.

The switch point is accessible from the front and can be set in the range of 10 ... 100 % of the end value of the measuring range by means of an assistant scale.

The robust instrument with a shatterproof window achieves high durability, even under harsh ambient conditions. This ensures that there is no danger from the instrument and it is resistant to external mechanical impacts.

The measuring chamber, depending on the requirement and application, can be made from aluminium or stainless steel. Through the increased stability, the stainless steel measuring chamber is also suitable for gaseous media.
