When customers ask for dry-break couplings for their projects, they often refer to the products as “TODO’s”. The Todo-Matic product range is exactly what they mean. Don’t settle for any less than a real TODO.
The Todo-Matic Dry-Break coupling is designed to handle the most demanding applications, from potable water to hydro chloric acid, the Todo-Matic coupling has consistently provided customers around the world with a reliable means of transferring their valuable or dangerous fluids and gases.

O-ring Grades
TODO couplings can be purchased with an almost unlimited choice of O-ring grades to suit a wide range of applications, however the list below features our most commonly used:
Working Temperature Range: -20°C to +80°C (-4°F to +176°F)
(See ‘Special Options’ tab for more details on applications outside of this range)
Working Pressure:
TODO is committed to providing the highest quality products, and so the materials of construction of TODO-MATIC® DRY-BREAK couplings are specifically selected for the best possible performance in the widest possible range of applications:
TODO can provide a wide variety of caps and plugs for Tank and Hose Units respectively, in a range of materials and sizes.
TODO caps are designed to keep debris away from the key connection areas during periods of non-use. They are not pressure tight – please see our Safety Pressure Tight Caps product section for full details.
Cap and Plug Sizes and Materials:
1″ (DN25): Aluminium, Brass, Rubber, Stainless Steel
2″ (DN50): Aluminium, Brass, Rubber, Stainless Steel
2.5″ (DN65): Aluminium, Brass, Stainless Steel
3″ (DN80): Aluminium, Brass, Rubber, Stainless Steel
4″ (DN100): Aluminium, Brass, Stainless Steel
6″ (DN150): Aluminium, Stainless Steel
TODO also supplied parking adaptors – these are the perfect solution to keep Hose Units clear from debris, and stored out of the way until the next fluid/gas transfer is required. Simply uncouple the Hose Unit from the Tank Unit and couple the Hose Unit up to the parking adaptor.
TODO Parking Adaptors are available in the following sizes and materials:
TODO has the ability to provide a number of special options for each size of TODO-MATIC couplings
Selectivity
Selectivity offers customers peace of mind when it comes to potential cross-contamination – it eliminates the risk. The keying system offered on all TODO-MATIC sizes means that only matching selectivity units will couple together.
Locking Mechanism
In the unlikely event of a stiff Hose Unit swivel, the locking mechanism ensures that the Hose Unit stays coupled to the Tank Unit under any hose tension. Easy to operate when coupling and uncoupling.
Magnetic Switch
Our non-powered magnetic switch, installed on the Hose Unit, will give an on/off signal when the hose unit is coupled and uncoupled. This signal can be used by a PLC (not supplied) to generate an indication of open or closed hose unit from afar. ATEX certification not required due to the fact that the switch is not powered.
4WD Unit (Four-wheel drive)
This 2 inch hose unit was designed with aggresive applications in mind. The additional two rollers help operators couple and uncouple the hose unit in applications where higher pressure or aggresive media is present.
Pressure Equalisation Valve (PEV)
The PEV is available on 2″ – 3″ Tank Units and is designed to release a small amount of pressure from the tank unit body into the piston cavity in order to ease coupling in cases where pressure has built up behind the Tank Unit. The PEV is a small additional valve housed inside the Tank Unit piston
Handle Options
There are a number of handle options available for each size of Hose Unit:
Raised and Lowered Working Temperature Ranges
The TODO-MATIC® design allows for higher and lower working temperatures than the standard -20°C to +80°C, however it is important to recognise that in applications with higher working temperatures, the working pressure must be reduced accordingly to maintain the safety of operators. Contact TODO for the correct working pressure for your higher temperature applications.
Coloured Bodies
The bodies of TODO-MATIC® Hose and Tank Units can be coloured to offer additional visual guidance for operators.
