The ‘&’ logic element may be used in the pneumatic circuit when an air signal is required from two sources before a signal is released to activate a valve. For example, when actuation of a tanker’s valve is required only when another part of the air circuit has been activated, for safety reasons such as ensuring vent valves are open. When the ‘&’ logic receives an air signal to both of its feed in ports, a signal is allowed through its out port. If it receives only one signal it will not be transmitted through. It has 4 mm push-in fittings for the nylon air tube.
