In high differential pressure applications (HDP), the installation site can have a single or three phase electrical source. Single phase electrical sources require a variable frequency drive (VFD) to help drive the larger motors required for HDP applications. Conversely, a three phase power source is sufficient for operating the larger horsepower motors so a VFD is not required. With a three phase power source, Corken’s standard HDP package (pump, motor, bypass valve, and baseplate only) is all that is needed for HDP applications. A three phase electrical source provides enough power to build 125 to 250 psi (8.6 to 17.2 bar) of differential pressure.

  • Easily converts a single phase source to three phase service
  • Slow start-up feature eliminates flow surges
  • Variable motor speed capability maximizes pump performance
  • Includes motor overload protection to minimize potential damage
  • Shipped pre-programmed at 60 Hz with 4 second ramp-up speed
  • Magnetic starter is not required so installation costs are minimized
  • A standard remote switch is available
  • Available in three pump models
  • Single-stage pump
  • Frame or direct mount designs
  • Frame mount accepts a wider range of motors (1 to 15 hp)
  • A direct mount design utilizes a special bracket that accepts a standard two-pole motor with an 8.5″ rabbet diameter. The mounting bracket supports both the pump and motor so they can be coupled directly
  • Frame mount drive options: Direct drive includes a baseplate, flexible coupling, and coupling guard
  • Mechanically sealed with multiple sealing options
  • Available with NPT or ANSI flange connections
